PRIVACY

Your information, handled with care.

This notice explains what personal information MD Community CIC collects through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. MD Community CIC is currently in the process of being formally incorporated; until that completes, this website and the information collected through it are operated by the founding team on the organisation's behalf.

What we collect

The information we hold depends on how you interact with us:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, subject, and message.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address and the date you subscribed.
  • Volunteering interest: your name, email address, phone number (if given), and the areas you are interested in.
  • Support session interest: your name, email address, session preference, and any notes you add.
  • If you engage with our support work directly (for example, by speaking with a support coordinator), we may hold further details relevant to that support, including health-related information where you have given us explicit consent to record it.

Why we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, send the updates you have asked for, coordinate volunteering and support sessions, and keep the records needed to run the organisation responsibly.

Every form on this website (contact, newsletter sign-up, volunteering, and session interest) asks you to confirm your consent before we use your information for that purpose, and you can withdraw it at any time.

We do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking tools on this website, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Who can see it

Your information is only accessible to authorised staff and volunteers who need it to do their role, and to the service providers who help us run the website and email (for example, our hosting and email providers), under arrangements that protect your information. We do not share your personal information with any other third party unless we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We do not currently run an automatic deletion schedule. We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and review and remove records manually from time to time. If you would like something deleted sooner, email us at [email protected] and we will remove it unless we have a legal reason to keep it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time (for example, by unsubscribing from the newsletter or emailing us).

To make any of these requests, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we have handled your information.
